MTS Refinery & Manufacturing Co. Ltd (MTSRM) under management of MTS Gold Group has won the SME National Awards 2022 from The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP).
The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) has organized an award contest for SME entrepreneurs under the name “SME National Awards”, which has been organized 13 times, first starting in 2006. With the cooperation of Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI), and by adopting the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) guidelines to award SMEs which operate their businesses efficiently and with good governance. This award is to recognise outstanding Companies that can be role models for other SMEs to improve their business practices and management.
SME National Awards have been adjusted to add the concept of Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) criteria for evaluating SMEs. This will support the government’s aim of accelerating the country’s economic development. The BCG Model is aligned with at least five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) namely sustainable production and consumption (12), climate change response (13), conservation of diversity (14, 15), cooperation for sustainable development (17), Reducing inequality (10). It is also in line with the philosophy of sufficiency economy which is an important principle in the economic and social development of Thailand.
